The Moodie BLOG travels pretty relentlessly. We’re on a plane on average every two weeks and so we get to see a lot of airports, a lot of retail environments, and a lot of brands.

Few, very few, are as omnipresent as Swarovski, the great Austrian crystal brand that has diversified brilliantly in recent years to become a house synonymous with innovation, a diverse trend-driven product range (from jewellery to giftware) and one that often adorns the brands of others.

In travel retail the brand can be seen all over the world, from Heathrow (pictured) to Domodedovo, Basle to Bangkok. And what impresses every time is its consistency of execution and its ability to use limited space well – its trademark deep blue hues the perfect backdrop for the shimmering clarity and sparkle of its products.

Swarovski’s team, led by one of travel retail’s great champions – and nicest individuals – Peter Zottl does its job tirelessly, always in an understated but passionate way. The results speak for themselves. In fact they’re crystal clear.
