Ever since The Moodie Blog was launched in September 2006, it has been accompanied by a chirpy bunch of characters who, appropriately, share The Moodie Report Publisher’s initials.
Legend has it that all the M&M’s characters gathered together back then and decided it was exactly the colourful sort of column they should be associated with. As a result they have been sponsoring the Blog ever since.
The creator of this Blog has been on this planet for a good few years now. Too many. What I didn’t know was that the men from Mars have been here on earth even longer – since 1954, in fact.
During that time, like all of us, they’ve changed a lot, as our picture shows. Back in their infancy in the austere 1950s, they were thin little children, happy and smiling but clearly raised by conservative parents.
Down the decades look how they have evolved, becoming more colourful and cheekier through the years. They’ve also learned a number of skills, from dancing, to playing saxophone and football, to flying planes.

They’re great characters who also brighten many a duty free shop and many a child’s day. We hope they brighten yours – and The Moodie Blog – while providing irrefutable evidence that there is life on Mars.
