Now that’s more like it! Last Saturday The Moodie Report’s officially adopted English football team, Leicester City, went on a scoring rampage, hitting six goals past a hapless (and goal-less) Ipswich Town
As reported, Leicester City is owned by Asian Football Investments, a Thai consortium led by Vichai Raksriaksorn, Chairman of one of Asia’s leading travel retailers, King Power International Group (whose Senior Executive Vice President Susan Whelan, below, also doubles as Chief Executive of the football club).
In August we announced that The Moodie Report would donate US$50 to charity for each goal Leicester scores during its 46 Championship games this season. If the team wins promotion to the Premiership, we’ll add a bonus of US$5,000. As our cause, we’ve chosen The Moodie Report Foundation, dedicated to funding cancer research.
Six goals means US$300 (and a running total of US$1,450). This is getting expensive! Buy hey, it couldn’t be for a better cause. And things could get a whole lot better – the Foxes are sitting in fifth place in the Championship table, just four points off automatic promotion.
Make no mistake, the Foxes are on the run. But this time they’re the ones doing the hunting…
