Several months after facing one of my most challenging ‘conference’ audiences, I returned last week to hear the audience feedback.
The venue was Montpelier Primary School in London, attended by my children Ali (age 10) and Samira (9). As my Blog readers will know from an earlier report, the school decided to organise a charity collection for travel retail’s Hand in Hand for Haiti school-building initiative.
Each class organised a coin collection, while parents and teachers also entered the spirit of the occasion. Montpelier’s aim is to establish an ongoing relationship with the school once built (the first classes open in September).
The end result? A whopping £1,260.32. Now that is a lot of coins…
Hand in Hand for Haiti and The Moodie Report send a big vote of thanks to all the wonderful pupils, staff and parents at Montpelier Primary School. And we’re proud to reveal that Montpelier will become the first sister school of the Lycée Jean-Baptiste Point du Sable in Saint Marc, Haiti.
