In the army now (or 20 years ago…)

Although this image was taken in 1998, from the distance of two decades I can still feel the ‘thwack’ of missile on helmet as, a few minutes after this picture was snapped, I forgot to duck.

This was one of the more memorable social gatherings in my early years in this industry, I recall. I was one of the DFNI team (and other media) invited for a day of paint-balling with spirits & wines giant Allied Domecq (remember them?) – one of many days that then President Duty Free Charles Richardson and his team generously hosted before Pernod Ricard snapped up the group in 2005.

The photo was supplied last week by one of those pictured – Richard Timmis, now Consultant at Category Insights Ltd – who like me, had more hair then than now.

But how many others can you identify? Leave your comment below or answer by reply to Dermot@MoodieDavittReport.com and we’ll arrange an appropriate prize for those who can name the most.

  • My dear friend Peter Frohlich of Frontier Magazine on the second row next to Adele on the second row.
I often wonder what happened to him.
