Welcome to The Moodie Report’s interim bureau (a London hospital). It’s not an interim bureau I was seeking to occupy this week but I have little choice in the matter.
Yesterday’s under-stated report from The Moodie Report team correctly summed up the situation: I have had major heart surgery in recent days. And as anyone who has been through such treatment knows, it is pretty tough on the body. So I will need to lie low (probably literally) for a few weeks.
However I can report that I am feeling significantly better today and progress is steady. I expect to be back at my desk on a part-time basis early next week (if Dermot Davitt allows me to and he probably won’t).
Thanks for all your support out there. It means a great deal to me, I look forward to providing further blogs (but not from this interim bureau) in the near future.
All the best
Martin

Martin, Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
You are right, the procedure is tough on the body, but you are a tough guy. I don’t think that you will be in bed too long.
Wishing you a quick recuperation. All the best
