Scorpio Distributors showed how it nailed the Bourjois account in more ways than one last week, as Group Managing Director Stuart McGuire unleashed his inner metrosexual with a modish manicure.
At a launch event in London, Scorpio previewed a selection of specially created Bourjois sets to the UK’s leading inflight retailers, and, of course, The Moodie Report. The French brand will make its debut in the global travel retail channel, exclusively inflight through Scorpio, in early 2010.
After a full marketing presentation, a manicurist and make-up artist helped those buyers present sample the Bourjois products as thoroughly as possible. Not everyone, however, could wait for their arrival – witness Alpha Inflight Retail Buying Manager Chloe Fox being coerced into giving McGuire Junior an impromptu (though mightily accomplished) manicure part way through the presentation.
Apparently the Scorpio(n) was surprisingly au fait with how and where to arrange his hands for easy application. And appeared very taken with the on-trend shade of midnight blue. Not your first time, Mr McGuire? Check out those talons (and possibly the toes too?) at Cannes…
