What kindness I find in people as I move around the globe.
Today is St David’s Day, honouring the patron saint of Wales. It’s also my birthday, though I’m not the patron saint of anyone.
But that didn’t stop the Ever Rich Duty Free team here who staff the Huan Yu VIP Terminal so graciously from presenting me with a surprise birthday cake upon my arrival here this morning en route to Hong Kong.
They were extra polite, discreetly opting for a solitary candle rather than the real number (which may have led to a fire alarm going off). And to top it off, they even sang me Happy Birthday.
What a nice way to start a new year in one’s life. And start as you mean to go on I say – up at 5a.m. to write my Blog, head to the airport and continue this great journey around an industry I love. As I look forward to another year, I see my work, like the feast in front of me, as the icing on the cake.
Hi Martin,
Belated birthday wishes. We share the same birthday, and an appreciation of their significance. Best wishes, Rod.
Happy Birthday Mr Moodie!!!
May the good Lord bless you on your special day and many, many more years to come!
Love the feast; icing on the cake or the blogs to read…
Dear Mr. Moodie,
Happy Birthday!!!
Too bad I didn’t get to join the celebration.
Hope to see you again and fly safe!
