The Moodie Report is once again on the road as part of the key beauty launch season – this time it’s a case of California calling; today’s Blog comes all the way from Los Angeles, where Clinique is unveiling a major new de-ageing serum called Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector.
This journalist arrived yesterday evening, and was promptly whisked by limo to the uber-swish Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The three-day itinerary includes the official product reveal; a guided tour of the practice of Dr Ron Moy, President Elect of the American Academy of Dermatology; a beach barbeque in Santa Monica; a celebrity make-up artist event; and a yoga session with celebrity yoga instructor Mark Blanchard (as favoured by Jennifers Aniston and Lopez). Excited much?!
After yet more frantic grooming (everyone here is so glossy and gorgeous it hurts – I look like Waynetta Slob’s older sister in comparison) I’ll be heading off soon to join the other journalists (total attendees: 68) at the Welcome Breakfast. We’re a cosmopolitan bunch, hailing from the US, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK.
