With The Trinity Forum just ten weeks away (9-11 February), a recent visit by the ACI team to Bangkok provided an ideal opportunity for a preview of the conference facilities and the social venues, writes Andreas Schimm.

The conference itself will take place at the Aksra Theater (below), an opulent theater hall at the heart of the King Power Complex which also comprises the King Power Down Town Duty Free Store and the King Power Pullman Bangkok Hotel.

The latter is the official conference hotel which is blocked for the event and is sizeable enough to accommodate all conference delegates.

The hotel can be reached in 20 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and is well connected to Bangkok’s public transport system. Thai Airways will be the official conference carrier and details of air fares and booking procedures will be disclosed very soon.

The Welcome Reception on Wednesday night will be hosted by King Power at the Chakrabongse Villas (above) situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Lush gardens and views of Bangkok by night will provide a perfect backdrop to the opening event.

The conference Gala Dinner will not require delegate transport as it will be held at the Pullman King Power Hotel. For those attendees who would like to be entertained beyond the social events, the Hotel offers the lobby bar ‘Glen’ with live music that should prove a popular late night haunt.

The conference closing on Friday afternoon may well only represent ‘half time’ as the promised Friday afternoon and Saturday activities should make it hard for delegates to want to get on the plane.

An exclusive after hours visit to the Vimanmek mansion in Dusit Garden on the grounds of the Dusit Palace on Friday afternoon, for example, should keep everyone around. Vimanmek is the world’s largest teakwood mansion and its terrace will be the venue of a sundowner reception preceded by a tour of the building exclusively for Trinity delegates. King Power will host further activities on Saturday as a Golf Tournament and Polo match should catch everyone’s attention.

As you see everything is in place for the best Trinity ever. See you in Bangkok.
