Christmas seems to start earlier every year – but 20 July is something of a personal best for this writer, who earlier today managed to tap into a little festive spirit, courtesy of the Elemis and Mandara Spa Christmas Collection previews, in London.
A selection of Christmas sets from the Elemis brand
The Elemis Day Spa in Lancashire Court was transformed into a treasure trove of gorgeous goodies, showcasing in some style the extensive Starlight Collection for her, him and home.
The limited-edition Christmas sets, presented in starlight motif boxes, vanity cases and make-up bags, feature various combinations of the Elemis brand’s award-winning “hero” products. Priced domestically from £22-195, the emphasis is on quality and value.
Mandara Spa wraps up Paradise in time for the festive season
To help relieve the stress of Christmas (hey, we all embraced the theme) Elemis was thoughtfully offering 30-minute facials, back massages and foot treatments, along with light refreshments (no mulled wine or mince pies, though. We checked.)
Across the road, sister brand Mandara Spa invited visitors to “Unwrap Paradise this Christmas”, and transformed the third floor private dining room at Mews of Mayfair into a truly tropical escape, a world away from the greyness and gloom of the typical British summer.
It too showcased a comprehensive Christmas collection, designed to relax, rejuvenate and treat, at very accessible price points. A personal fave was the Spa Getaway Travel Bag (£15), which contained a Tropical Blooms shower gel, hand cream, body cream and gentle cleansing wipes.
Mandara Spa therapists were on hand to deliver a further touch of the tropics with a selection of deluxe mini Balinese massages. Finally, we understand what Wizzard meant when they warbled: “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day”…
