Has there ever been a duty free shop like it? Almost certainly not.
The image is of the spectacular façade of the new RegStaer duty free shop at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal C, where the retailer celebrated its Grand Opening this week.
The nautical theme was considered ideal for the upmarket clientele who will frequent the store – it is located adjacent to the First and Business Class lounges and the VIP area.
The external image is carried through quite beautifully to the shop interior where the hard, shiny teak floors would not be out of place on a luxury yacht.
The lightboxes (pictured below) maintain the image, all being housed in wood surrounds. It’s an innovative, unusual shop – a major point of difference from the near look-a-like Lotte and Dufry stores one storey below.
Sheremetyevo has an incredible amount of retail. The only way any new player will succeed is through differentiation and quality. Both are to the fore here in a shop that is truly in ship-shape condition.
