The Moodie Tipster ‘looking for new challenges’

Martin Moodie is the Founder & Chairman of The Moodie Report.

The Moodie Blog regrets to report that it has parted company with The Moodie Tipster, who is “seeking other opportunities”.

As readers of this Blog will know, the Tipster, who insists on strict anonymity when advising our readers on their betting selections, called Sunday’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby disastrously wrongly.

Going against all sane racing judgement, he advised against backing red-hot favourite and wonder horse Camelot, which went out at 1/5 favourite, on the basis of the rain-affected track conditions.

This justified a heavy punt instead on rival Light Heavy, who was perfectly named for the surface, he insisted, adding “Put your mortgage on it”. [The Moodie Blog reminds readers that all racing advice is subject to statutory guidance, that the value of your investment may go down as well as up.]

For those readers who find themselves homeless this week as a result of The Moodie Tipster’s daft advice, we duly apologise. We will be recruiting a reliable replacement in time for Dubai Duty Free’s next major race meeting, at Ascot next month.
