Many of JTI’s key customers attended the evening, including (l to r) RegStaer Chairman Alexander Baev, Gebr Heinemann Co-Owner Claus Heinemann, Duty Free Partners Director Eugene Vasiliev, his wife Anna Vasilieva, Duty Free Partners General Manager Vitaly Bavin and Gebr Heinemann Regional Manager Bernard Schlafstein

Regional President Middle East, Near East, Africa, Turkey & Worldwide Duty Free Fadoul Pekhazis greeted guests, and emphasised the key role that tobacco continues to play in driving footfall and penetration for retailers.

And he underlined the consistent double-digit growth that JTI has achieved year in, year out since its creation a decade ago.

The event was also notable for the terrific entertainment on offer, the highlight of which was singer Michel Villano’s near-perfect simulation of dozens of hit tunes – his impersonation of Freddie Mercury will live long in the memory of those that were there.
